Question What should I buy?

I want to get a new sport quad but I am clueless on what to buy. I am 6'3 215 pounds so I look and feel pretty awkward on anything under 500 cc's. I'm currently riding a KFX700 but I am getting rid of it this week. I want another bigger sport quad but I also want as much speed as possible. All I can think of is the Raptor which I like but all my friends I ride with have one and I want something different. I like the DS650, but they are hard to find in good shape anymore and would they even keep up with a raptor? I get smoke on the KFX all the time and i need something faster. What else is out there? Does Arctic Cat make any big quads? KTM? I know they make the 450 or whatever but Im too big for that. My cousin has a predator and outlaw and he loves them but he gets smoke with me in races too. Is the Honda 700xx fast? I dont like the rear suspension though, Are there any new big quads coming out to replace the DS650 or KFX that are worth waiting for and not just a rumor? Im really ticked the discontinued them.

Raptor 700 is about the fastest quad out there. KTM or Polaris 525 are fast too. Don't know a ton about the Honda 700xx. Modified versions have won the Baja 1000 2 years straight now.

If you need more speed than a modded Raptor, call Johnny Knoxville and his crew and learn about the application/placement of bottle rockets

Do any of you thnk the DS650 is a good buy? I remember always hearing about how amazing this bike was but it has been discontinued, with mods do you think it can compete with the raptor?

The DS is a amazing bike and with the right mods it will compete with a raptor esp the 660's. The problem with the DS is there is very little support for it aftermarket wise therefore finding parts is a little more difficult than say a Raptor or a 400/450 class quad would be. The other thing is dollar for dollar not much will compete with the Raptor esp the 700's as aftermarket support is overwhelming. Take a look at youtube for sand drags and you will see what I mean.

Hey D57H, does Yamaha give you a paycheck for your hard work here??

Seriously though, the Raptor 700 is likely the best out there for trails. I'm 6'3" and 250, and the Raptor fits me pretty well. DS-650's are great quads, and fit me better, but they are getting real hard to find, and the ones I've seen used have had the snot kicked out of them.

HAHA!!! Good luck with that! : )
I agree with the 700. If it seems small a different set of bars goes along way in changing the ergonomics.
