5'-3" & 110. How old is he?
A Banshee IMO is only for experienced-very experienced riders only and those riders should have some level of fearlessness.
So far a Raptor 250 sounds about right. If you are open to other suggestions have you seen, or would you consider the Polaris Phoenix 200?

HMT......are you serious? a Phoenix smoking a Raptor 250? 200 cc belt drive, heavy as heck, against a light, manual clutched 250? I have ridden a Phoenix before, that is no race quad, unless you modded the living daylights out of it, they are slow, heavy and meant for trail riding, not racing. I would go with the Raptor 250, the Honda 250x and Zuk 250 , much better quads for spirited trail riding and racing.

Yea very serious, and yea with a few mods like dynojet kit, exhaust, cdi box, timing advance, open airbox, and shocks. Yea its heavier than the raptor but you can't out shift a CVT. Just saying. But not he races a very modded blaster and will spank 400's all day and really embarrass the 450's. 2012 engine is being built as we speak by Kevin Herr and Herr Jugs Racing

I had a Suzuki lt160 that worked when I was like 160-190 (chunky kid) and that had enough power. Now I'm at 165 at 6'4" and have a eiger400. Both suzukis i bought took a beating and still ran great! I know yamaha is a good quad too. I'd personally go with the 350 cuz you'll always want more power lol.
