Dittos. A father can be nothing more than a sperm donor. That's not who Father's Day is for. It's for the Dads out there who stick with their wife and kids and defend them when needed and discipline them when they are out of line (kids that is!). A Dad wants to be able to say one day, "I've taught you how to be a man, showed you how to live as a man, and now the rest is up to you. Make me proud to be called your Dad." Just my .02 worth. As your signature states: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 4.

+1 Moose! And oh did I have a happy fathers day. The wife told me to hit the trails with the buddies and don't come home till dinner time. I walk through the door and find my kids helping MOM cook a feast just for me. OH BOY! Meatloaf mash-potatoes and gravy with a side of fresh corn on the cob.(MY FAVORITE!) It's not much but way better than any store bought item, because it was made with love.

Father's Day is a day to honour all the fathers for everything they did for their children. This is an occasion to express gratitude towards your dad for all his love and support. Father's Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries. Most countries like US, UK, Canada and India celebrate this festival on the third Sunday of June.
