New ATV helmet review.

Here are some pictures of my new ATV helmet with optional MX mask. These enduro type helmets are very nice. They give you a large front opening which is great for people who wear glasses or like me enjoy riding with a open helmet and wear sunglasses. This helmet also has the option of a sun visor and shield. The visor is great for those rides when the sun is right in front of you. No more having to lift your hand over your head to block the sun. It also helps prevent sunburn of the forehead. The shield is perfect on coming quads that bring dust or for those unexpected rain storms.
This helmet also has a very nice ventilation system both on top and at the nose. Easy to open and close while wearing it. Even the adjustable sun visor is designed with a wind tunnel to channel wind to the top vent to help keep your head cool. My head is a size is 23 ½ inches and the XL fits snug. I am sure after my first ride it will loosen some. The weight of this helmet is only about 3 ½. It also comes with a helmet bag and side cover if you wish to remove the visor or shield completely. For under a hundred bucks it really is a nice option to have for the ATV trail! I know I am going to enjoy this helmet.

Here is the helmet with my Collett communicator mounted to the helmet. A perfect fit. There was even a place to place the speakers to sit so they are out of the way. This system is bluetooh and works with my phone. The communicator answers call automatically. I can have conversations on the trail and people have no clue I am out playing! It even has bluetooth stereo so you can listen to your favorite music. Not to mention it is a great safety feature to have with a group of riders. All my riding buddies have one. We have logged over 5000 miles with these headsets.

Nothing like the combination of sun and Norweigen to create a sunburn. I'm glad that my mother's side had some American Indian to ward off the burns.
My son however is 1/4 Norweigen and 1/2 Irish. He had the worst burn blisters I have ever seen when he mistakenly put suntan oil instead of sunblock at the beach. 2 or 3 inches long and 1/2 inch deep. I guess he didn't get much of the American Indian blood.
Nice helmet review. I just got a Vox that fits my large 3x-4x head but nothing that fancy. I'll look into it later. Would love a bigger visor than I have on my open helmet.

I wanted to give a update on this helmet. We went for a short 250 mile run this weekend at the Dusty Trails in WI. This helmet was perfect. We encountered both MAJOR dust and pouring down rain. Both during the day and at 11 pm at night. This helmet did the job. It is nice and light. easy to see through even in a major down pour. The venting works perfectly. I had no neck issues like I did with my previous helmet. It is truly a awesome item to have on the trail.

The one I bought was called "VCAN" for $100 from a A Canadian online place called "Royal Distributing"
Canada's Powersports Leader! Snowmobile, ATV, Motorcycle, Motocross Parts & Accessories!. But many other companies make a helment like it. Shark being another http://www.sharkhelmetsite.com/.
The flip up close face is any helment thats "modular" then you just find one with the built in half face sliding sun visor.
Nolan Helments makes this one http://nolanhelmets.com/. There for street bikes but I even use mine snowmobiling.

The one I bought was made by 'VCAN" Modle V210 (silver) ,Is $100 in Canada so it must be $50 in the states LOL. Looks alot like the above pic. Comes in gloss black and flat back also, more colors now I think. Mine is not the more exspensive VCAN Blinc 210 with Blue tooth.
