Oil Burner
#4
This is the 4 stroke 250, right? If it has been a while (or ever!) since it was rebuilt, then it is time to get the jug cleaned up and install new piston/rings. Valve seals going bad can also cause smoking, but I would start with the jug.

thanks, and no it has never been rebuilt. it has what i would say a new carb, but is the old one with so many of them damb little parts out of it repaced its not even funny. the carb is the only new part the rest were on it since it rolled out of the factory.

Just Check your tank and make sure you have heating oil.
there are some Possible Reasons Oil Burner is Not Running (Properly)
Too Much Soot in Oil Burner
Electrical connections too loose
Flexible couplings are damaged
Oil filter, strainer, or nozzle is blocked
Faulty primary control
Oil Burner motor is bad
