Cool Worlds greatest atv

Of course everyone has there own favorite, but mine is one that is over looked by to many people. It is the honda Four Trax. I know of only two motor sizes for them they are the 250cc, and the 300cc. They also came in 2wd, and 4wd. In to wheele drive your mudding applilitys are limited, inluding if you have any weight on the front. The golden rule with them when there is any chance of heavy mud is to put all your stuff on the back is you can. I will not say that they are perfect, but they were a one of a kind type of atv, including mine. I have the 86 Four Trax, and it is something that will make you scratch your head. It looks mostly utility, but it also has alot of what today would look like racing feachures. The 86 Honda Four Trax was a direct decendant of Honda's three wheelers. Which if you ever get a chance to look at a early one. You will see the signs of it's evolutionary jump. If you take the Four Trax up hills you will find it hidden talent. I have traveled abroad, and have tested my old girl in every type of hill, and grade. they were built to do this task with ease. the distribute the weight so they don't have to push as hard to get up ,and over rocks. but the also mantain enough weight, and power that if they need it they have it, and will tar, and claw its way up. there was only one time that mine couldn't do it. and that was because half way up turned to sand, and my atv had a nice tumble. it was one of those crap i could of been hurt, and then suddenly i went into a panic to see if my atv was fine. it was ok, but i had to heat the handle bars, and bend them back into shape. they don't brake down. the only part that wasn't on it the dat it rolled out of the factory is the carborator, and that was bought off another old Four Trax. i got that last year. power has never been a issue with my 250, so i commonly wounder what in the world it could be needed for in the 300cc's. i endup using mine alot like a tractor for a semi trailer. i put full length car trailers filled with varyus things, like would, and scrap metal up, and down good sized hills on my rural property, and not one bit of a problem. i could go on for years, but i also want you to post, so i will come back

well i don't want to have this completely one side, so tell me yours. don't worry about being wrong you can't, it is only a opinion, so if it is wrong to one person it could be right to another.

For me, I like having the extra oomf of the larger engines, especially for farming type tasks (5' trailer full of rocks from my trail is a good one) ...

i would agree with you there, but when i say it never acts up, or is under powered i mean it. they just don't back down. the only time you will ever have a proplem is when you can't get tracktion, and that is very rare.

I favor my atc250r, the best adrenaline rush, and the history behind them.
