I use to run mine through the winter alot, not so much now, but I have friends who still do. Except for putting some gas line anti-freeze in that gas tank there is no changes. If you leave it out side over night put a cover over it to keep the frost off of it.
Remember,ATVs especially CVT models are really just 4 stroke snowmobiles with 4 wheels instead of a track with two skis.

it's imperative to keep all finned coolers clear of frozen debris as well as mud like in the summer. try to shield your battery from the extremes also. i run mine all winter also. i have no problems.

Don't worry to much about snow on the rad itself, once the rad gets hot no snow and ice will stick to it,its more about make sure the Rad Guard does not get plugged up with snow and restricts air flow to the Rad.
On Sled rads located above the rear track, they rely on snow to cool off the coolant not air flow.
Not if your using your ATV in the winter ,you do that if your storing your ATV. I only use my snowmobile on weekends some times every other weekend,it would be a drag to reconnect the battery every time I wanted to go for a ride. Same with a ATV.

Thats a good tip. My Yamaha and Honda manual stated to change oil grade for cold weather riding. Polaris uses 0w-40 so that oil works for the coldest and hottest days of the year.

I run mine in the winter for hauling the odd time and plowing as needed. Since plowing involves lots of winching and low RPMs I plug it in when I'm done to keep the battery topped up.
I don't do anything other than that ... runs just fine right to -40c

Great tips guys, will watch for snow around the rad guard. I put a thinner oil in already for winter when I got a tune-up.
