Default oil

Been hearing a little bit about the 0W40 Amsoil
Thinking of using it in my '94 Kodiak 400...pros and cons?
Thanks

Amsoil is a good brand, and I have used the 0w40 viscosity. FYI the 0W-40 is Jaso MA/MC spec'd (wet clutch compatible) I use it in my snowblower (frequents sub-zero temps) I also use it in my pit bike racers (90cc semi-auto and 140cc high compression 4 speed manual CRF50 style engines) In both bikes I experience better clutch feel and engagement also a lot less clutch drag versus say a conventional 10-30 or a Jaso MA/MC spec'd 10-40.

And if your not familiar with pit bike racing, these engines are high reving air cooled 4 stroke engines that only hold about 700cc's of oil.
