hey could anyone give me step by step instructions on how to tighten the chain on an '89 trailboss 250 4x4??

I cannot give you exact instructions but something you have to do is tighten the chain with the suspension compressed...get a BIG friend (or 2) to sit on it or what I had to do was get a ratchet strap, crank it down compressing the rear suspension then you can adjust the chain...if you adjust without compresssing you will risk trans damage, breaking yer chain and limitting your suspension travel at the minimum.
