road riding
Is it legal to ride on the gov't owned property beside the road? Theres a guy in the next county i know has a trail down on the edges of the road..

Not where I live (Texas) not unless you have your atv registered which I do. If not you are only allowed to cross the roadway at 90 degree angles. And for those that are going to ask how I got my atv registered in Texas. It is registered as machinery. It is exempt from blinkers, horn, and inspection stickers. Do ride in the road a lot but when I do its legal.

Sorry last part was supposed to say don't ride on the road a lot but when I do its legal.

I asked a county mounty today and he was talking like I could... so... might call the state troopers and ask

in Ohio you must have it registered (depending on machine sport quads are a sticker utility quads get a plate the size of a cycle plate) it can not be ridden on the "tar" part of the shoulder you have to be in the grass and cross the roads at a 90 degree angle

Legal in most of the smaller towns in Utah, except on the main highways.

It's all gonna depend on your state and local laws and cops
