My 86 lately wont start. Today i took carb off and cleaned it and check spark plug. Plug was very black, so i turned the air bleed or pilot jet out to 2 1/4 rather then the 1.5 a turn and started better but when i shut it off, i went to start it again but no luck..

Any ideas? And in middle of winter i changed the pilot jet to a bigger one for winter. Just got the atv 2 years ago and evidentally the guy had really leaned out the atv. Any help would be apperitated.

 

Is this a 4stroke. Maybe check the valve clearance

 

Yeah it is a 4 stroke. It might be the valves... Havnt checked those since i got it. Thx.

I thought it was weak spark (bad ignition coil) may buy that and new valves for it.
