Default 660 raptor ?

I've heard that 660 raptors have bad trannys and arent very reliable, I don't know if this true do this why I'm asking, because if it isn't true I might look into getting one when I upgrade to a bigger quad

First year 660's were known to have tranny problems. After that, you should be ok, as long as it was maintained properly.

First year were the only ones with tranny problems. By now many will have been fixed and if they can provide receipts for the work I wouldn't sweat it to much. One way bearings are notorious for having problems on all the years. They ride tall and at stock width are a bit "tippier" than other sport quads. They do make a ton of torque and can provide a decent bang for the buck now. The piggy back front shocks off a 700 or original YFZ fit with minor modification and make a huge difference at least in jump-a-bility.

Unfortunately, yes. If you are into jumping, I would recommend against a 660.
