I am back again having trouble choosing a good atv. I am wondering which would be better and stronger the kfx 700 or the yfz 450??

KFX700 - Automatic. Reverse. HUGE. HEAVY.

yfz450 - 5 speed. Likes to rev.

Really depends on what kind of riding you plan on doing.

Take the 450 over a 30 foot double. Nice. Now take the 700. Not so nice.

Maintenance. 450 needs a good regime. 700 (stock) tune it up once a year, keep on top of the oil and filter changes.

Like Koopa said, huge weight difference and do you want to shift or not.

I was curious about the 700 for quite awhile. I went riding with a friend that had one. After that day I decided i would never own one but, I was impressed with the power the thing makes.

They just don't fit me. Its so heavy it was hideous trying to load on our trailer. Our 450's flew across a creek bottom flinging mud everywhere but, the 700...It got in a bind. Stuck. No biggie. Happens, well it's so da*n heavy we couldnt get it out. I could have never stuck my 450 in that hole in such a way I couldn't pull it out with a couple of extra hands.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying they are bad machines in any way. Just depends on your riding style as Scooter says.
