Default 2001 Honda Rancher blowing fuse when in reverse

i just got a used 2001 honda rancher 4x4. when i bought it and test rode it reverse worked just fine. when i got home and rode it through a little water, maybe 3 inches deep, and then put it in reverse, it turned off and wouldnt start. come to find out it was the ignition fuse and it had blown. i got a new one and now every time i engage it into reverse, or turn the key on while in reverse, the fuse blows again, no matter what size fuse. has anyone else had this problem and know what might be causing it? thanks!

im assuming they have a reverse light in the dash? Betting their is a wire rubbed through someware.. i would try looking around the steering post where the wires come up that is a common area on all machines.
