Big Tex just caught fire and burnt down to the frame at the State Fair of Texas. Celebrated his 60th birthday this year and I remember seeing him for the first time when I was 6,I'm almost 64. The wife and I were there opening day this year.Big loss for us Texans and as much a symbol as the Cotton Bowl itself. I'm listening to the news right now on tv as I'm typing and people are being reassured he will be rebuilt. He's just as important to us down here as Paul Bunyan and his Blue Ox Babe is for you Minnesota boys.
