Default Help Building a ramp

I have a ramp build in my grand parents pasture, i used to ramp it on my 750 brute. the ramp has the potential to get about 6-8 ft of air, i just ordered a 2k12 trx400x, if i ramp my ramp without a landing ramp could it mess up my quad?

Any jump, if high enough or if the landing is botched can cause harm to a quad. Best thing is to start off small. Big thing people don't do is to stand up when jumping. Gives you much better chance of correcting in flight if you didn't launch right. A table top jump with a ramp on each end is a good start. Beyond that I don't jump too much. These are jumps that my son and a couple buddies were doing on utility machines. I never got that high.

like moose said take it slow table tops are a good way to start because if you come up short the ground is not that far away.

yes i would defiantly take the time to build a landing ramp it will make the landing so much softer and it could save your butt if you come in a little to nose heavy

I should be wider in case you don't land perfectly.

I would make it wider, 4-5' wide leaves little to no room for error. Try 8' wide, that would give you a 2' fudge factor in either direction. A length of 15' sound good. How tall is it?
