I am looking at making an Atv stand to work on my quads. I have looked at the lift tables, but dont have the coin to drop on one so I am gonna build one. My plan is to make two seperate ramps, like a drive on car lift, with the center open. I plan to be able to secure the two ramps together when in use, but make them able to be detached from one another for storage.
Was wondering what everyone else has built to work on their quads. Tables, ramps, etc.

 

Made a bead breaker out of old angle iron we had around. Have to tweak it a little for different rim sizes. Also made a snowplow a-frame extension cause I couldn't swivel plow with the track kit on the ATV. Also made a roller for packing winter trails using a set 31" truck tires, made an axle and bushings from old pipe and polyurethane. Works good enough so I can take the trailer out to get my firewood.

 

back when i had small tires on my sport i was able to lift it up onto a 5 gallon bucket and it sorta acted as a turntable- worked good for me.....

what kind of quads do you have and what kind of work are you planning on doing? i really don't think you'd need any sort of lift.

 

95 kaw bayou 400, 83 suzuki lt125. I wanted a lift just to get them up higher to work on.
