Do any of you carry your dog with you on a quad? Front? Back? On seat? Special modifications?

One of our dogs loved to ride on a Waverunner. She sat on the seat in front of me and quickly learned to lean with the turns and clearly had a great time. I would like to try the same with a quad.

Obviously quads don't lean, and a quad requires more steering to turn, so she does not fit well on the seat. I know we can't simply bail from a quad and splash in the water, so speed is a serious issue.

Any ideas?

Once I put a doggie bed on the rear rack and my dog just laid there. He seemed to like riding.

 

My dogs ride with me all the time and we even take them to the mountains with us. I have a bag seat on the rear rack for my Brittany and the chihuahua rides in front of me.

 

What is a bag seat? I am picturing one of the folding cooler/stool things.

Last year I went to Moab to ride with a group, the leader had 2 Boston Bull Terriers on the front of his Can Am, he tied a big duffel bag on its side, had a towel inside for them to lay on.....it was like a small tent for them, shaded them from the sun, and kept them secure while rock climbing, they just peeked out the open zipper.

 

My black lab always rode on the front sitting between my arms. My friends Sheppard does it the same way .
