I was in 9th grade English class taking a test when at approximately 1 o'clock the principal came on the intercom saying President Kennedy had been shot. At 1:15 he came back on and in a quivering voice saying he was dead. My junior high school was on Inwood road that intersected Harry Hines Boulevard and was about mile and a half from Parkland hospital.Never will forget the crying from teachers and students and all the police cars that day. Hard to believe it's been 50 years. Those of you that were old enough to remember that day, where were you and what were you doing? One of those memories you can't ever forget.
