I am wanting to purchase a Honda rubicon cte from a private seller (not dealership), and bring it back to NY where I reside. I need to know what I need to have/do to be able to cross boarder, and make things smooth with customs. Has anyone ever done this......need guidance. From my understanding if the atv has a sticker that says "meets US standards" then it's not a problem.....if not something about needing a letter from the Honda stating that the ATV meets US standards. Funny thing is that Canadian emission standards are supposedly higher than US.....so why would this be a problem? Apparently it could take Honda up to 3 weeks to do the letter? Again, I'm interested to hear from those that have been down this road.
