Default 04 predator 500 help

I have a 04 polaris predator 500 and this weekend I got demolished by a bone stock yfz 450 it wasn't even close. So by the end of the trip I noticed my bowl was over flowing. So I looked up on free mods and I was told to clip the spring to 3 1/8 in for throttle response so that's what I did but now I can't get it to idle and it has a bog until half throttle or more low end lil power but will pull the wheels up at high. Has K&N factory replacement filter that's it. My ? Is do I need to reject now?

Throttle response won't be helped one bit by clipping the slide spring if it's already overflowing fuel through the over flow! Need to take care of that before any mods performed. Carb kit probably will help, especially the needle and seat.Polaris Predator 500 Carb rebuild kit 03-415 Just one place, several other sites on ebay for carb kits.
