Well they both started since November!

Was tapping trees yesterday for maple syrup so I rode to the back storage on my sled and started the ATVs for the first time since I parked them in November.
The Polaris needed a pull start and ether starting fluid (cheat) in the airbox and, 15 min idle to recharge the battery.
The Yamaha just started up like I just parked it a hours ago . I was amazed the battery had life still in it.
I could not ride them anywhere the snow is still to deep and soft but the weather is nice now.
All in all I thought it was a good beginning for the season though.

It just feels good knowing you do not need to screw around with these machines right off the hop in the spring and add it to your thing$ to do list.
I winter stored them lazily this year, I just put some stabilizer in the gas tank and parked them and walked away for 4 months .

Still on the original battery on my 08 rubicon but I had to pull start it a few times this winter. I'll probably be changing it out this spring with another Yuasa. I did a majority of the battery changes last year so I'm hoping this is the only one that needs it.

I usually don't let mine sit for more than 2-3 weeks. I don't ride much in the winter, but will at least get it out and start it up and putt around a little. I was actually surprised how well my 2 wheel drive rancher could go through the snow we had about a month ago. Much warmer here now, been in the 60's the last few days, I think winter is finally behind us. I did buy a new battery over the winter as the other one was having difficulty holding a charge but I still charged up the old one and have it sitting by just in case. Got a good deal on Amazon for a new battery, $42 with free shipping for the exact same battery as oem except for the stickers on the side. Would have been $70 for the oem, so not really a lot more I guess but might as well have a few extra bucks in your wallet if you can.

Well, maybe not, but has the exact same amount of cranking amps. I guess I'll see how long it lasts. That will determine if I buy another one or just pay the extra few bucks for the oem.
