I had to put a new gear shift switch and arm for the shift lever on and has always run like a champ, but not starter won't even try to turn. What I do wrong? Did I miss doing something? Maybe timing off no? When I bypass starter it tries to turn but doest sound right. If u give a little gas the noise gets worse. Also chain is really loose have a new one but tension bolts don't seem to give any tension. Could chain be issue or timing and chain m? This is my first quad so I'm not mechanically challenged but I am for a quad.

 

If it ran before you changed the switch and lever then i would assume you got something off. Im assuming the switch you replaced is a neutral indicator?
