I don't agree with the tent peg or spike a the bottom of the ramp. When loading the truck moves slightly and the height of the truck changes. One of these times the weakest point is going to break. it could be the upper mount, pegs on the bottom, or even the ramp. A properly strapped ramp to the truck, or a pin system to the tailgate is all you need.
