What year is it, with what engine size? Looks like an old Can-Am when they called them Bombardier. Need to know these things as a starting point to figure out what a quad of that age would cost if in good condition. Working from that price, I'd ask a dealer how much it would cost if the transmission was dead to replace it. To me that would be the most expensive part that could be causing the problem. Subtract that cost from the value of a used quad that's in good shape.
What bothers me is that you can't take it for a test drive in its current condition. I don't understand why the previous owner would not have it fixed unless it was to costly.

The Traxter had the step through seat. I looked to see what a Rally was and came up with a little 200 (176cc) that some people gave terrible reviews. There may be others beside the 200. That's just what came up right away.
