I was thinking about that too. You're riding on a slipperier surface than usual with half the braking power if that. I could see that being a problem.

That things cool. Don't know why people do that many mods on it. I would just buy a snowmobile separate

Yesterday I found out that in Michigan an ATV is still considered to be an ATV if you put tracks and skis on it so it's not allowed on snowmobile trails that don't allow ATVs. You could still ride it on the ATV trails in the winter which is a great time to ride. The trails are nice and smooth and there's not much traffic. You're less likely to meet someone flying down the trail head-on toward you and I've never seen any dirt bikes at all in the snow.
