Default HELP 2001 scrambler 400 transmission fluid change

Hi! I have a 2001 scrmabler 400 2 stroke. I cannot figure out where the dipstick or bolt is to fill my transmission fluid and also having a hard time determine which bolt is the drain plug for the tranny. Someone please give me a detailed explanation how to do this. Thank you so much!

Crazy drain plug on this model.Located on the lower left side of the gear case(item#35). You have to loosen the lock nut enough to thread the frame support bolt in far enough so you can remove the drain plug. To replace just screw in the drain plug, turn the bolt out until it touches the frame, turn 1/8 turn more then tighten the lock nut against the drain plug body. The yellow dip stick(#26) is where you add the gear case fluid.Add fluid a little at a time until the fluid hits the full mark on the dip stick. If I remember correctly this model hold between 16-18 ounces.

I should have been more specific. This is a 2001 Polaris Scrambler 400 2x4 2 stroke. All time 2 wheel drive. I have read that this only takes 12ounces. Can you or anyone confirm this is indeed the drain plug location and the yellow stick is the fill location. Thanks!

Yes I can confirm it as there was NO 4x4 made for that year..The pic I showed is for the 2x4.Look here at the Parts Catalog if you wish.. http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp As far as the fluid I wasn't sure how much, that's why I said to slowly fill it through the dip stick hole...
