My neighbor has a 2007 Chinese Quad he bought used a couple weeks ago and I am helping him fix it. The 12V18/18W bulbs seem to burn too hot for the cheap clear plastic lenses, and so I wonder if they make LED bulbs for this "socket" (or whatever the technical term for this bulb's specifications is).

Which is my first question. Can I just go to an auto parts store and ask for a "xxxyyyzzz" bulb? I find the bulb on eBay using the text on the side of the bulb, but the search results are limited to incandecent, "quartz" or halogen. The 2nd two burn even hotter than the incandescent, and I'm looking for cooler, and brighter if possible.
