good single-place aluminum trailer?

I tried to search on here and couldn't find much. I got a Polaris Sportsman 570 last year and so far used with friends who have trailers and I will ride with them. I am looking to get one for myself, but would like to just get a smaller, single-place, trailer if possible. Preferably an aluminum one for weight/payload purposes. This would mostly be for towing on highways, but also some well-maintained gravel roads. I saw some at local dealers for around $2k, and some slightly more (similar to https://primotrailer.com/utility-trailers/ut5x8-std/). Also ones with a wood deck such as this https://www.absolutetrailer.com/2020...gci%7CMEd.html for slightly cheaper. Obviously I'd try to find a used one if possible, but does something like that seem reasonable for my purposes?

When your talking that size steel vs alum their really is not enough weight difference to really justify the price difference.. Unless you can find a good deal on used... I have a 2 place trailer with mesh deck and its nice and light and can pull it all over the back yard by hand easily... Personally i hate wood deck as they are slippery when wet. I picked up my trailer for $1000 out the door new because it had a broken licence plate mount normal price was $200 more

If you buy a 1 place trailer then you limited to riding alone, go for a two place trailer, easier to find, easier to sell down the road, and the slightly heavier trailer will tow better. A one place aluminum trailer will be hard to find as you already know, wont tow as well and have a poorer resale value. Not many want a one place trailer. Nothing wrong with steel as long as you take care of it, being a little heavier it will tow better. Always better to be to big than to small !

Good points about the lack of significant weight difference for a single-place... I did think about getting a larger trailer, only thing is that I currently have a Subaru Outback which has towing capacity of 2700-3000lbs. I didn't want to get anything too big for that reason as well. I could use my wife's jeep, but she doesn't have a hitch currently. Usually if I'm going riding with my friends we have either a two-place trailer or a big gooseneck that can fit four 4-wheelers and a side-by-side and we're using a diesel truck to tow. In my case I'm looking for something that I can use my current vehicle to tow my wheeler for just my wife and I to use when camping in the national forest, etc.

I had a steel side loading 2 place atv trailer which only weighed 650 lbs, plus 2 quads at 750 lb ea is still below your tow capacity. Side loader was an excellent trailer, easy to load the quads.

ya i was going to say a steel trailer is not as heavy as everyone thinks.. even loaded with 2 machines you will still be under weight... I think my new can am is about 800lbs but my old cat was around the 600lb mark.. One thing i tell people as well buy a old beater truck to haul the toy around.. Sometimes you can find a old reliable beater for the same price as a new trailer...
