Default Gear Oil Question - Newbie

Hello...first time owner of a brand new Vitacci Pentora 125cc ATV. I was told to replace the engine oil that comes with the unit as shipped. I did. Is it also necessary to change the gear/transmission oil before use?
I read some posts that indicate the gear compartment shares the same engine oil.
Just want to make sure I dont use the unit before I have done all proper maintenance.
If it needs to be changed, any videos/help on how to do what and what kind of gear oil needs to be used?
Thank you!

Not too sure aboout your specific 4-stroke 125 ATV. I do know that for many 4-stroke ATVs (like mine), their User Manual and/or Service manual recommends exact engine oil to use. As a suggestion, send email to sales@vitacci.com and ask where to buy a machine specific Service Manual. If they don't know, ask them to confirm exact engine oil. Note: For me, I use Amsoil Engine Oil in my Adult size ATV. For it, I simply surf Amsoil oil and use their ATV Look-Up tool @ https://www.amsoil.com/lookup/atv/ This confirmation works for me - even if I order exact same "oil code" from a different seller. For my ATV (which is a full 4x4), I also need to change its axle's differential oil every year. Your ATV's 4-stroke User/Service manual should confirm oil details of this area as well...

Hope this helps...

Usually those machines share the gearbox/engine oil so you change one your changing both... Just make sure you are using oils that is wet clutch compatible or things will just start slipping
