Anyone own one? Thinking about selling my ATVs and getting a Gator or somthing close to it, reason being is me and the old lady are needing somthing that is a little more laid back and easy on the old bones. We will be using it for some serious utility work as well as riding on some mom & pop trails. Any "heads up" info? Thanks...

Yamaha's got a side by side two seater now. Bombardier has a two seater also.

If you can wait awhile, Deere is improving the full size Gator. Adding suspension and four-wheel drive and some other features. They have come out with a compact Gator. It was basiclly built for more urban users and not for farm or heavy use.

My cousin has one. Only goes 18 mph and for atv trails it is wider than the trails. Hope this helps.

Polaris Ranger or Yammy Rhino would suit you better. Both can go around 45mph and have 4wd. The Ranger seems to be geared more towards wrok rather than off roading, like the Rhino is. But both are very capable

Arctic Cat Prowler would be good also.

inst the cat a more sport type of machine? It is kinda like the rhino just diffrent body and name. I have a john deere gator hpx4x4 that thing is a do any thing go any where haul any thing we have loaded the bed with over 1000 pounds of wood and it did not even miss a beat. That thing will follow my recon through my most brutal trails

The gator is more comforable than a quad and it goes.Has a low center of gravity , so it wont tip over on hills. Carries heavy loads 1000lbs or more! Not as fast as a quad but it will follow the best of them.

That is incorrect. Two different manufacturers; Rhino by Yamaha, and the Prowler by Arctic Cat. Each has it’s own pros and cons.
