I used to own a Ranger 4x4 (2002). The only reason I sold it, was because at the time everyone was talking up the Sportsman 700, and it was a little big for the trails I was trying to ride it in. Other than that, I could hook it up to any thing and it would pull it. It was also a fast UV, and great in the mud. It's just a Sportsman 500 in a small trucks body. Your tranny, true 4x4, towing ablity, and great powerplant are all there. I really liked the ablity to carry more than one person (its rated for 3). Its a really awsome UV.

 

Since you've given me the green light, I'll put my vote in for the Rhino. It's not "sporty". It's just more off-road oriented then say a Gator or Mule. The latter models of UVs are meant to be just that, Utility Vehicles. The Rhino is more for going mudding, climbing hills, trail riding and the things people usually do on regular ATVs. It's got fully-independent suspension, automatic tranny, 4x4 with locking and unlocking front differential and the same 660 engine in the Grizzly. Throw some ITP 589s on that thing and I think your folks would be set for muddy, marshy conditions. A winch would just guarantee they got where they wanted to go. And just in case you want to take a ride on it occasionally, and assuming you're a little more agressive than your parents, you can put a Grizzly 660 CDI in place of the stock Rhino CDI to bump the top speed up from 35mph to about 50mph[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
