Ranger TM Governer mod?
#1
Hey guys, I'm a very happy owner of a new Polaris Ranger TM for some light farm work. The TMs are governed at 25mph, and it reaches that speed VERY quickly. Since we're talking about transversing potentially hundreds of acres at a time, it would be nice to gain a few MPH during that period. Are there any known mods to increase/remove this governer? Yeah yeah, should have bought a 4x4 version, but I REALLY don't need it. Just need 2x4 - and even if the speed is permanatly limited at 25mph, it's a great investment.
Thanks for any info.

Oh yeah, I could do that, but I'd give up some of this wonderful machine's torque doing that.
It hits top speed in about 5 secs, so I have do doubt that un governed it would move along quite nicely.
Any more thoughts? For further clarification, this is a Robin Model EH63D engine (18HP) in this thing.

if there is any atv with the same motor in it or a nother faster machine you could get a new rev limiter to make it go way faster. the rino has a top speed of 35mph, then you put in a rev limiter from a grizzly and kaboom top speed 55mph !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
