carter xtv2150

More power in stock form than any other 150cc out there I believe. Kinda long, no reverse, suspension I think is a little harsher. Turning around is a little more difficult.
MADE IN AMERICA!!! (at least the frame) Carter is an excellent company
If you can live with no reverse (I can't) then it should be a good choice. Lots out there to choose from though.

thanks for the reply Kell.
The XTV 2150 is 92" in L / 51" in W / 55" in H / what is the L on your Twister? I'm really torn, i like the looks of XTV it seems more nimble only 468Lbs compared to thsoe luxury wagons like the tallons, twisters and others. I can play with the suspension if nessary to soften the ride. I quess my only reserve is the lack of reverse. Do you really need to back up that often?

If you ride in tight woods, yes you will need reverse.
The twister/talon style carts are smaller more nimble than the XTV. The XTV looks huge beside it. The main difference is the wheelbase which is much shorter on the Twister allowing you to turn sharper and goes over obstacles better.
The twister also has rack & pinion steering and a more sophisticated rear suspension that splits the weight of the engine between the swingarm and the frame. The twister is about the size of a large 4-wheeler.
The XTV definetly looks more traditional.
I will guarantee you will be disappointed in the performance of a stock Twister/Talon. It will hardly get out of its way. You will have to invest at least another $300 for pipe/intake/jet kit which is easy to put on. The XTV doesn't really need anything in the engine department.
good luck,
Kell

Kell is right... the XTV is not a good choice if you want reverse. but, if you like the traditional look and if you want a strong engine... it's a great buggy.
by the way.... i have the 2150. i've already put 21inch maxis razr tires on the front and a "rack and pinion" and some other little doo dad's. i'm also turning it into a single seater... no need for a 2seater really.
you can see pic's of my XTV over at www.buggynews.com
good luck with your purchase!!

Dear R6riders,
you are just the man i want to talk to. first lets talk price it seems that dealers are willing to make deals on xtv's right now since carter stopped production on the xtv line. have you heard of any one selling below $2,200 ?
please tell me about your modifcations. Like you tire size's brand of tire and how well you like it. Also where did you get a rack and pinion for you cart? how much did cost? was it hard to install?
please tell me about anything else you have done. You dont need to tell me about the single seat conversion, i'll be using both seats.
I' planned on putting Maxis 1razor 21X7(radial)-10 on the front and ITP mudlights 22x11-10 on the rear.
Let me now if you think these sizes will they fit and where i might get 10"rims.
Also i found a guy in PA that sells nitrous oxide kits for these little motors he said he has the jets for the 150cc and that i should be able to safley get 4 addtional horse power out of it.
Also i went to buggynews.com and you have no pictures on your profile i would really like to see your cart.
thanks Shawn
