I will soon be in the market for one of the main stream vehicles..............
I'm 6'3" and 215lb. Of the 3, what would fit me best? I can sit on them in the showroom all day long, but field conditions would probably make things different. I was leaning towards the Ranger, but lack of aftermarket components kinda sucks. The Prowler was my next choice. Any opinions you could offer would be great.
Oh, mostly riding forest service roads / trails and open desert. Glamis a few times a year
Thanks

After rolling our Rhino one to many times my wife bought me a 06 Prowler due to its extra width. I feel our Prowler rides way better than the Rhino ever did. The Rhino does have a lot more aftermarket support but the Prowler aftermarket is starting to build though. I think that both have huge potential though... I just can't wait for BRP to release a 800cc utv.

I got my Rhino LE for $13,000 otd. I think the Prowler is priced similar, maybe a little less. If you live in CA though you may have to wait till the fall to get one. They were on a 1 year wait to get CARB certification.
Yes, there is a good chance CAN-AM would release a 800 UTV. It would make a great cross promotional item with John Deere.

I love my prowler. I actually bought mine used from donal who posted above. Prowlers new are only around 9000. They just came out with the 07's which didnt change much but they have a more barebones model without the electronic speedo, locking differential and comes with steel wheels, supposed to be around 8500 or so.

Can AM is devoted to it's MAX line of ATV's and will not be releasing a SxS in 2007.
Rhino is the best for aftermarket hands down but they are kinda small, narrow, and weak (mechanically not engine).
Ranger's on the other hand don't have the same aftermarket support but you would be suprised how much there is. There is a guy fabbing bolt on turbo kits at a very reasonable price! Plus they are far more durable. Check out www.prcforum.com for tons of Ranger info, mods, technical data. Its got about 2,000 Ranger owning members.
