Hello All

I am thinking about either a Rhino or Ranger.
From an owners perspective, what is the worst part about owning a Ranger?
Are they high maintainance?

The worse part is having to pull all those Rhino's out that are stuck in the mud!

 

Thanks I appriciate the Levity, but I am going to buy a side by side soon. I have real
doubts about Polaris quality? Are they easy to work on? Do they break down a lot?
Does little stuff like body panels break a lot?

I have an older (2002) and the only problems I have had is outdriving it the things that I have had to fix were easy and it would not matter what I drove it would have broke any of the other side by sides probably sooner. the only problem I had that I didnt like was the top speed issue however polaris has started addressing that and now have faster units and aftermarket companys are poping up everywhere.

 

Worst part? Watching Rhino's climb hills & conquer obstacles your ranger cant. The build quality throughout the ranger is poor. Uncomfortable with a school bus steering wheel angle. The higher price for less of a machine. I could do this all day...

HAVE YOU EVER OWNED ONE?
ARE THEY UNRELIABLE?
I WOULD BUY A RHINO, BUT I HEAR SO MANY HORROR STORIES ABOUT THE RHINO TAKING PEOPLES LEGS OFF
DUE TO TIPPING.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANYTHING YOU DO ABOUT THE MAINTAINANCE OF THE RANGER. I REALLY
DON'T WANT TO BUY SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO NEED A LOT OF ATTENTION.
I LOVE HOW LOW MAINTAINANCE MY JAPANESE STUFF IS.

 

I base everything I say on facts, personal knowledge & experience. I worked in the motorcycle industry all of my adult life until retiring recently. I was a motorcycle technical school instructor in Phoenix as well.
I might not have the world record for building the fastest engines on the planet, but I'm in the top 5.

THANK YOU!!!!!! I am a motorcycle mechanic, after going to school for a year. I am handy with a wrench, but like i said, i am afraid of something unreliable. did you ever work at a Polaris dealership? Would your working on Polaris' keep you from buying one?
