'05 Rhino Questions
#1
My dad is looking at selling his Sportsman 400 and getting either a Ranger or Rhino.
I managed to find a dealer that has a carry-over 2005 Rhino. My question is, have there been any changes from the '05 to current? I was given a price of $8250+tax/license.
My guess is that after this machine has sat on the showroom floor for the last year or better, the fluids will need to be changed. It supposedly has no miles on it, except for maybe going around the dealership a couple times. We're going to check it out on Wednesday.
If any of you that have experience with the Rhino's, let me know if this is a good deal or should we avoid this one like the plague????
Thanks for any and all advice.

I have an 05 and it has been great. The only thing I've issue with is the gas cap and they sent me a new one.
As far as price, I paid $10,000 OTD for my 05 two years ago. The popularity has sky rocketed since then so I really can't comment on price.
I love mine so much that I've modded it till I'm broke.

Thanks for the info.
He decided to keep the business local and will be picking up an '06 green Rhino. He really liked the camo version, but couldn't justify spending the extra money for something that he didn't need.

billl,
that's what we thought for a 2 y.o. machine. Way too much. This place is an implement dealer also and my guess is they could more than likely afford to take more of a hit in the shorts to sell this machine. I looked into NADA and Kelley Blue Book for our area for a retail price. They're about a thousand dollars over current retail for an '05.
Needless to say we opted against trying to deal on the '05.
