Default Wolverine 500 UTV

Was watching VERSUS TV network, and I saw this commercial about a new brand of UTV.

I have a feeling this is made in China, but the price of just $5,295 that includes the Mile Marker Winch, Windshield, and top, it definately is inside my price range. Check it out, and let me know what your opinion of this machine is.

looks like a cheepie unite that you find at the home and garden store. the price might be good, but wat are you gona do when something goes wrong? no dealer, and chinese quads are nortorious for haveing parts problems. just hold out for a used UTV

Hey, I looked at the advert. It looks ok, but the auto tranny looks a little generic. The single cyl engine sounds a little wierd for this size displacement. It may be fine, but go ride one before you consider buying. I met a guy in the woods on a Joyner and I looked it over and was impressed, he was out where the big boys roam and handled it well. I took a short ride and enjoyed the manual shift and power. That next week I started looking and wound up winning a new unit for 4500 on ebay. I have been very sastified with all aspects of it's performance and the twin cyl isuzu motor is strong.

Good Luck.

The price on the site is 6295 not 5295. I have seen the commercial during an mma fight, IIRC. If there was some independent testing, it would help. While it looks really nice, I'm not willing to risk that kind of money on what looks nice in some pics and a bunch of marketing. If it were 5295 shipped, I might consider it - 4500 and I would be alot more likely to take the risk.

THESE Utvs are built well for a chinese model. I have a cycle shop and i have serviced a few of them. I then bought one for myself to bet around my farm. I have found that a lot of the Yamaha 660 Utvs parts fit. Just be careful i had to up grade my fuel pump and i put an after mafket cdi and coil on it. These Utvs are made by HISUN motors. If you get one make sure to make a few up grades like i did and it will be worth the money.

Drove a 500cc Diamo Discovery this last weekend that looks just like it. It was pretty gutless and the plastics were not up to par. Heck, I'd rather have a new mule for about that price. My problem is, by time you make a few improvements, you could have bought a nicer used name brand and Lord knows the resale value won't be there on the off-brand, either.

If I was to buy a lesser known brand, it would probably be a Joyner but you won't save much.
