For sale suggestion...
#1
This is just a humble suggestion to the moderators/owner of the site. I'm wondering if it would be better to have a classifieds section. I'm a member of several car and truck forums and they have a section where you can post things for sale or wanted along with pictures, follow ups, etc. I think this would work a whole lot better than the free ads tucked away on a link in the main page of ATVC. JMO.

Hmm... didn't notice the link at the bottom of the page. Thanks for pointing that out. As with the supporting member classifieds section, that's the problem, non-supporting members can't even view it, so you have a very limited audience.

But, by making the garage/sale forum availible for only forum supporters you dont have to deal with the people who constantly come in, post, and never return. You also know that anyone posting in the forum has made a commitment to the site and you have greater confidence in dealing with them.
There are trade offs, but I'd rather have a little more assurance that I wont get ripped off, especially since most transactions are rather high in price.

the classified section works fine for the masses
and if you want to deal with the people who have been on the forums for a while the garage sale section is a safe place to do it
the general logic is to keep the forums from turning into a huge classified forum (it would get so out of control)
