Hi Everyone,

As you can see, we have upgraded the forum software to the latest version. I still have some programming to do to fix some things and to add some stuff back in from the previous version. However, I decided to go ahead and make the new version live and I'd work on the other stuff over the next few days.

It was a massive undertaking to perform the upgrade. I'm sure we'll find some bugs. If you do, please post them here.

One thing you will notice is that you can now post photos in your topics! When I get time, I'll write up and post a FAQ on how to post photos. For now, I will say that you can either link to a photo hosted elsewhere or you can use the attachment option to attach your photo, load it onto our server, and have it display in your messages.

Interesting new design.

I assume one of the things that will be added, unless I'm missing it, is the ability to set the ordering. I.e. latest posts first. Those of us who partake of long threads it's very handy. So far if I try to get into the SpinZone, PSD, California Riders does show up.

I have to rewrite the first thread/ mext thread logic so that it doesn't take so long to scroll to the end of a long thread. I had to rewrite it in the last version of the software and I have to do it in this one, too. We're not done with the upgrade by any means. There is a lot to do yet.

 

Will we be able to post videos now ??

Click on profile. There will be two tabs, you want personal options. Scroll down to message display order, and click on descending.

 

How do I change the color the threads are displayed in? I find the light blue color a little hard to see on some monitors.

It blows goats for now but I will patiently wait for the full blown effects to take place before passing final judgement. I will say that I appreciate your efforts in trying to make it a better place, but am confused as to what the problem was to begin with. The old format was very simple and convenient to use, maybe this will be also when it's said and done. Hectic and unpleasant in the meantime.
We'll see.

This format isn't any different than the old one other than looks. The new topics link moved a little and some of the menu options moved a little but there wasn't that much as far as changes.

You can post photos in your posts now. That is one reason for the upgrade.
