Yesterday a few people were commenting that the forums were slow to load. It may have been because we set a new record (we did) on concurrent users at one time, but it may have been something else, too.

I spent today tuning servers and software. Please let me know if the forum speed is the same, better or worse than last week.

The speed: in the morning it fast like last week, at night it slow maybe to amount of peoples on the severs? Compare last night it a little better about 25% faster but morning is alot faster then at night.....

I am having problems consistantly accessing the site, here is the error page I am getting;

i've recieved the same error message as truckracer listed. today the forums do seem much faster though.

 

I couldn't sign in for a period of time this morning to get my forum fix.

It was about 1:00 PM local time that tried to sign on again and it said 0 users signed in. Never have seen that.

Then it was about 4:00pm it started to speed up. I have no complaints though about the speed. I figure its just part of being on the net.

ive had no problems and the speed is now fine i think it makes a difference with 100users compared to 20 though

couldn't load the page all day untill now did you make some changes or somthing dbeck
it said that the page was offline

 

I discovered the database had a broken index. On a database with 1/2 million rows that can make a big performance difference. I took the forums down for a few hours today to fix it.
