just to save you the trouble the blaster will win a raced a 300 last weekend and wasted it by about 6 quad lenghts

 

o yea my blaster tops at around 64 with the front fenders off and a lil extra weight taken off and i am not trying to be rude with my first comment[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

YEAH BUT MY FENDERS IS CUT TO AND I HAD KEEP UP WITH 350 WARRIOR AND A ATC 350X AND BOTH OF THEM WAS STRONG. THE WARRIOR GOT ME OF TOP END BUT FROM THE HOLE I LEFT HIM 2 OR 3 BIKES THEN WHEN HE HIT 6 WE WHERE SIDE BY SIDE. I THINK THERE IS ALOT MORE STUFF ON MY 300 THAN I KNOW ABOUT

 

stock vrs stock the blaster wins but not by much and could be made up with driving skilles. piped vrs piped the blaster gts more out of it so the blaster pulls away more. jmo

I have owned both. The Blaster is a bit faster, stock for stock, and will beat the 300 off the line every time.. The Blaster certainly has the most hop-up potential, and it is quite a bit lighter. But, the 300 has the better suspension, and a nicer ride.

One thing to consider is that the Blaster is a smaller bike, and is usually ridden by lighter riders. I think this accounts for a lot of the machines perceived performance!!

the 300ex is a good quad: it has elec start and reverse, and its a four stroke.
the blastoid is 2 stroker six speed manual. , and it is smaller and lighter.

i have a friend with a 300ex w/ procircuit and i ALWAYS win the drag race with my Toomey Blaster.

BUT if yer too big for a blaster, or ride where ya need elec start and reverse, then 300ex by all means. a good quad.
IF you like slidin' and screaming, the Blaster is the ride. a load of fun!

i have a 2002 300ex with a k&n hi-flow filter. Do you think i could beat my cousins 2000 blaster with an fmf pipe on it?

 

My cousin has a 99(i think) blaster(stock)and it doesent seem to be that fast.He can beat me racing on my foreman 400 4x4, but it doesent seem like he whoops me that bad. I also ride his blaster some, but it really doesent seem that fast.
