My son and his friend down the street while riding one afternoon, had a "run-in". After the dust settled down, both bikes ended up with bend rims, and axles. I removed the rims, using block of wood and hammer, straightened them out. I then removed both axles, took them to a body shop I used to work at, using a bearing press, straightened both axles to within 1/8 run-out. This has been over a year ago, both quads are still running, no side effects to date.
Nothing ventured,,nothing gained.
