300ex weight restrictions
#1
I'm considering a 300ex for my wife. I'm concerned it might be too small, and as a result, too tippy.
She is 5' 8" and 130lbs. Should I be looking for another style quad?
I have a 400ex she rides in the dunes well, but in the dirt she has a tendancy to get stuck on hills and tight spots because she kills the engine and starts to freak out about the clutch. I have already convinced myself I need fully automatic or semi-auto like the 300ex. A Polaris Scrambler 500 is my first choice, but the $5900 price tag tells me different.
Any input?

you are correct, I'm thinking of the 250. She can sorta handle the manual clutch, but my fear is she'll become frustrated/scared keeping the fun factor low. If she can hop on and push with her thumb, that's it, she'll do great.

The 250 is plenty roomy for her. I am 5' 7" 200 lbs, and it's not cramped at all. In stock form, the 250 is a bit tippy, and "pushes" a little in corners. I replaced the stock tires with Holeshots, and it cured both problems real quick.

I'm 5'7" 180lbs and it's not too small for me. The stock Dunlops make
it a little "tippy" but she's got some decent giddy up. Got it up to 50 mph
on wet grass. Great beginner quad in my opinion.
