should i get the 400ex?
#1
my dad and i have reciently* bought a ozark and a kodiak 450 but i already need more power than the ozark. i really like the 400ex because its a honda and its been around for a few years. i know that its underpowered in the 400 class but i dont need anything that goes faster than that. ill be mostly riding on wooded trail and some sand pits and about 1/2 a foot of mud. so my question is should i save up and get the 400ex or should i get something else? by the way im 5'8 and 140.

????? Very Underpowered?
Ive riddin in the sand my whole life. Its not under powered at all in the sand. Yeah your going to get beat by banshees and Raptors, but that will happen on any 400. And its not much slower than the z400 at all. Its also a lot lighter and handles better.
I just got a 400ex to replace my raptor. I love it. I enjoy it so much more and its really reliable.
Buy the 400ex. Well worth it and you can get a new one for really cheap now.

It jsut seems like your saying the 400ex isnt suitable for the dunes. Like your not going to get up anything. What paddles do you have on your 400? Those big heavy wortless GBC's? Maybe thats why you are underpowered. If you have the right setup the 400ex will be more than ideal for the dunes. Its not a drag bike. might be underpowered for dragging I guess. Not if your dragging against 400z's though.
