lmao 250 thumper man that was good. anyway why get a 400ex in stead off a 400 scrambler 2x4 well its your money if U want to spend it all on costly repaire bills to have a srambler 400 break right back down that is fine with me the 400ex is a lot lighter and better handling also

The 400 ex is also about a 100 pounds lighter. Which in turnhelps in the suspension/jumping department. And on 2 strokes are more prone to needing rebuilt than 4 strokes.

You don't sit so high on the the 400! It feels more like you're in it than on it. It has seperate brakes, front and rear. Manual clutch and a 4 stroke low end power. Lighter, more manuverable. My opinions anyways.

If you can't shift a trans, use a clutch, and must have reverse. Get the Polaris. Of course it is overweight, has a front suspension borrowed from a Yugo, has a noisy belt drive. The engine is a tempramental 2 cycle. And has the jumping and handling abilities of a timberwolf. Go ahead and get it. Of course the 400ex isnt perfect , it could be water cooled.

The 400ex is just a better machine, I ride with a buddy that has a sport 400ex, look at my posts on the sport 400ex vs 400ex, at this time he has a 99 sport 400 for sale that is modified if he can sale it he is buying a 400ex that should answer you question.

You shouldn't, you should get the Scrambler 4x4 instead of the 400ex.
