I dont have a 400ex yet, but am well on my way with it. Since im goin do a lot of trail riding, im going to put a reverse kit on it. But I need to know what would be a good second mod to do to it to increase its speed and acceleration. It will probably be a pipe, but I would like to know the best pipe for the money. Thanks. I don't think anyone makes a reverse kit for a 400ex?

CRAP!! You are right...my bad....Someone told me they had a reverse kit, but i guess they were wrong....Scratch that part of it, but what would be a good "starting part" for my 400ex(with no reverse).

 

All 3 quad mags did shoot outs back in the day. 2 said the white bros. e-series was best the other said e-series and I think it was CT or lonestar but that one is not spark arrested. I have an e-series on my 400 and you couldn't swap it for any other pipe made. It is quite (in comparison) cheap and very adjustable, hands down White Bros.

I thought Curtis Sparks won the pipe shootout..?..maybe not...but white bros is allright I guess..real loud and that disc thing sucks imo...I like the Pro Circuit T-4 and Curtis Sparks pipes alot more then anything from White Bros...good luck with getting a 400.

 

Sparks probably did win but start comparing prices and see how much you like the white bros. I put one on my 400ex and i love it and i only spent $175.

 

Theres a new pipe on the market I think its called "FAT BOY" or something like that and I heard that white brothers makes it. But its suppose to give more power than anything else out there.
