250r top end

Default 250r top end

Okay I am new here, but I have a problem I can't the cyclinder head off of the trike. I have all the bolts out and I have tapped it several times to loosen it but it won't budge. Does anyone have any advice to how to get it come loose....

I had the same problem with my TRX250R...I gave it a few wacks (upward) with a rubber mallet and it came loose.

I will try that, but I am afaid of cracking this thing...... This 3 wheeler has sat for like 10- 15 year and so I have encountered a lot of rust.........

Okay I got it apart, but I had to use various size screwdrivers. this thing is rough shape..... the rings are basically welded to the piston..... Any one know what it costs to have it bored out? anyone know of a shop in KC that does this?

eww..not a good plan on the screw drivers...that can damage the gasket surface...very bad plan. Boring usualy cost about $60 plus the cost of piston...gaskets, ect...look in the phone book for a place to do this in your area. Is this a liquid or air cooled model ?

this is liquid cool. No damage to the surface either guess I was lucky this time.......[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] How do you get the gasket off now.. that thing is caked on there.....
