Default Some Question about my new quad

Hi, I just bought my 2nd quad, A 1994 300ex. It has a FMF Powercore 4, a K&N filter and a Dynojet Kit. I paid 1600$ for it. I have some question about it. The fenders aren't new thought

1- Did I got a good deal?

2- I'm hearing the valves a little, should I adjust them now or should I not mind about it ?

Thanks

Default Some Question about my new quad

If you ride in really dusty conditions I would put the cover back on...but if the dust is at a minimum run without it....or If you like to go mudding or cross fairly deep water then you'd want it on....(idk why anyone would want to do that with a 300ex but whatever)....I don't even run an airbox at all...but I don't ride in the dust...or even when it's raining...As for the valves it's better to check em and be safe....you don't know what the previous owner did for maintenance or how good a mechanic he was.....

The 330 is the stock cylinder bored to its max, 305cc. Then they stroke your crank for the extra cc's. It's about $800
for the 305 and it runs killer, 4th gear wheelies, but I think it is about $500 more for the crank work.
