ok...I know this kid who won a brand new Polaris TrailBlazer.He had it for about a month,and he doesn't have any gas to fill his tank with,so he uses a full tank of deisel.Thats not even the worst part!the thing has been running like crap.then he "accidently" doesn't put any oil in it for about a month.The thing is he ruined his brand new atv.Now its in his lawn in pieces.What a waste of an atv!!People like that shouldn't even have one

 

Sounds about right, folks with a Polaris and no oil, that fits. Its a mental thing

 

It wouldn't run like crap with diesel, it wouldn't run at all - guaranteed.

Sounds like he got what he deserved. Any machine treated as you describe would surely die in short order.

I have a friend like that too.. he has blown up every bike includeing a Z50.. just a shame. P.S. I have used a 50/50 mix of diesel by accident and it just smoked a tad and built up some carbon..but she ran ok and still runs today 200SX quad by the way

At least it was a Polaris. If you're going to ruin something, it might as well be one of those.

 

There is a Polaris 4x4 model that requires diesel fuel. I don't see a gas rig running on anything but gasoline. I guess anything is possible. What a shame if what you say really happened.

 

Well, I don't know this from experience, but as long as your fuel will burn, it has a chance of running (gasoline, diesel, whiskey, hehe). I'd believe that it ran, and really it probably wouldn't do much damage other than dirty up the inside of the cylinder with carbon. Still, I'd rather walk than run any of my rigs with Diesel fuel.
